Should the dogbone on the driveshaft be able to be moved back and forth with relative ease? The rubber bushings can be moved with very little effort and the bone goes forward and back.

I posted earlier, I am trying to find the source of a squeak/clunk somewhere in the driveshaft when I am off the gas / the trans up shifts. It may be a result of too much backlash in the rear, but I am trying to rule out any "simple" causes first as it only started AFTER replacing the control arms.

The ones I have seen have been very "tight" and had no real movement. That is to say, they have slight movement...almost as much as a brand new tranny mount does....if you take my meaning.

Thanks. I don't know that the dogbone is the source of my issue, but it is definitely not "tight" so it needs to be tightened or removed. Can you replace the bushings on them?
