I am going to a 2 1/2" exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and was wondering how they will fit or will they hang too low. Thought about the Hushpower II but think they are a bit too pricey. Does anyone have pics of they're exhaust. I am either dumping them before the axle or running them out the sides. Thanks

I am running 2 1/2 to Thrush super turbos that exit at the axle. The mufflers are offset at the inlet and centered at the exit, and they tuck up underneath the rear seat. You can drill for a lag bolt through a bracket underneath for a hanger to hook up to the tail of the muffler going this route. I don't have my exhaust in the car to take pics of it for you, but I can get some pics of the bends for you, or maybe you can use them as a template. Do you have the double hump cross member?

It has a 2" with glass packs on it now. When I took it to the track I figured it was too small but thought I would try it anyway. I decided to take the exhaust off after half a day and I gained a 1/4 of a second but I think I lost a lot of torque. I figured 2 1/2" is the way to go but did'nt know if the mufflers would fit.
