Hey guys,

Anyone know if the hood for the GT500 KR will be available for aftermarket? I normally do not like the "cloned" production car look, but that hood looks awesome to me.

thanks

I'm sure it will be. The current 500 hood is so why not the KR? I hard in the short video about the KR that the hood is carbon fiber so could be quite pricey...but I do love the look of it!

That hood looks the best too me out of all the others I've seen. My concern is the heat extractor vents. All others I've seen in person, Saleen, GT 500, Shelby GT the vents are open over the engine. There is nothing to channel the water away from the engine. I don't like the idea of water all over when it rains or when you wash your car.

There is already a KR hood out.

mrbodykit.com has it... Cervini has a KR hood as well.

The stock GT500 vents are open underneath, water is not an issue.

Same goes for 03 Cobras who opened up their factory vents.

Bickford Ford in Snohomish WA where I bought my Stang has all 3 cars , gt 500, Shelby gt, & Saleen. All 3 vented hoods have water in the engine bay after a good rain and or a wash job. I have checked them all out and water is an issue. To me at least.

AmyB says the new KR hood will be available. If you got the Shelby or Shelby front end.
