hello all i just registered to this sight, hopefully you will all become a very valuable resource in the near future with a project i have taken on.
i have an 87 2.3 5spd haych LX mustang and i also have a 88 turbo coupe motor from an auto car setting on an engine stand in the garage (i'm sure everybody sees where this is headed) the T/C engine has a bad head on it but i was wondering if the N/A motor's head would work? if not what is the best production head made (trying to do this on a bidget and love scouring the recycle yards for good finds) also other then the ecu is there any difference between the auto and manual tranny turbo motors? isn't there a size difference in the turbo itself? one has a .48 and the other a .63 but i can not remember which has the larger one.
any way this is going to be my daily driver for a while once i get it going cause the 5.0 is not really doing it for me right now so it is going under the knife and i do not want a lame daily driver so figured this would be a funlittle car. so any help appreciated.

Your Stang head won't work in a practical sense. The combustion chambers are too small. It can be made to work, but I don't know how feasible it would be.

Ultimately the best production head for a turbo motor is a factory turbo head. Trouble with that is finding a good, uncracked specimen.

Your '88 TC won't have a .48 or .63 Garrett T3, it'll most likely have the Warner-Ishi IHI RHB5. A smaller turbo than the .48 T3, that's quick to spool but falls off on top.
