I have a few questions about putting in my new harness:
1. How do I mount my new fusebox? It is an Ez wiring mini fuse 20

2. I've replaced 80% of the connectors with newer ones. The one that I have yet to make the connector that will go through the firewall. In wiring diagrams they are called master disconnects, Do you guys think I should use these old ones and just splice new wires? or should I use a plastic molex that I found at a local wiring store, it is a little bit bigger than the first hole , i'm not sure if it can handle the larger gauge wiring though. Will the plastic be able to handle the heat?

3. I'd like to hide the wiring in the engine compartment, how do you guys recommend going about doing this? Do you guys recommend sleeving them with black sleeves?

You can reuse the existing ones with some effort.

I don't like to cut holes into the firewall but if you want to put a new connector in then check out something like this bad boy:

Haha yah I'm not a fan of cutting into firewall but that is a 2nd to last resort. Last resort is just running wires through. I think i'll just use my old ones. Anyone know what would happen if you switch gauges from one wire to another? like if it is originally 10 and then goes to 16 and then back to 10? Cause i was wondering if i should try to match the same gauge wire int he old disconnect.

Does anyone know if Painless gives new connectors or do they just use your old ones, cause i know they ask you to send in your old ones.

You should really just upgrade the entire run of wires. If you are careful you can remove the pins from the connectors, buy new pins and install them in the connectors.

oo nice thinking, but i'm not sure if you could do that to the main disconnects cause they're molded into the rubber, at least that is what i can see, i'll take it to the local electronics shop and ask their opinion.

I can't take out the things from the main disconnect (the lug that goes into the firewall) but for most of the other things i will do the thing that rusty suggested.

I figured out how to mount the fuse box, (this is a mini 20 fuse box) so you flip it upside down, there are 4 tabs, take a flathead and open up the tabs, slide the base out, drill holes where the original fusebox holes were and then when you screw it into the car just push the box itself back onto the base and you're set. Its gonna be a challenge to take it back out though
