With your auto i would do 4.10 gears first. That will wake it up. Welcome aboard!

Your other best option is to do the PI swap. Get a set of 99-04 heads and intake and put them on your's. They will make a world of difference but it is more expensive.

You should get some 4.10's, Also a nice exhaust. The exhaust wont help that much with power but will turn heads.

Welcome to the 4.6L forums.I would start with a Magnaflow Magnapack
catback and a short throw shifter like a Steeda Tri Ax.
Congrats on your new ride.

my top three picks (in no order)
1. Gears
2. PI conversion
3. Exhaust system

if u have the few extra pennies id do the PI conversion personally

now if we all had a car like tweeked's....

Free mod: Foglight Rewire

I had a 98 Auto GT, to make yours feel alive you can follow what i did. PI Swap, choose your own catback, a Diablo or SCT Tuner (for altering the shift firmness ONLY), and some gears higher than 3.55's. I had 3.73's and they wern't bad for daily driving on the highway but 4.10's would feel better

Stick with one or the other, don't molest your suspension.

I would suggest a thorough cleaning and some exhaustive preventitive maintenance.

Change every fluid including brake and diff. Change plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and PCV valve. Clean MAF and IAC. Reset PCM.

Also, use 303 Aerospace Protectant on all the interior/exterior plastic, rubber, and vinyl. Also claybar and wax the paint plus put Rain-X on all the exterior glass.

Expect to spend about $500 for all this but it will be worth it.

Welcome to the board
