OK, finally got the new hood in and installed - YES it is a VIS carbon fiber hood, but I did get the cowl induction to at least calm the haters down (and there are many. In my opinion it looks really badass and is even farther from rice than a stock mustang. I like it a lot, my pics are posted on my cardomain site, page 3: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/503535/3.
Opinions will be helpful, and all (love it or hate it) are welcome.

Looks good, but I think you should still get it painted to match the rest of the car. thats my opinion though!

Looks better than I thought it would. Though, I'm not a fan of such a large cowl.

How much does it weigh?

i like it, since you got a dark car it doesnt stand out as much, but im less crazy about the huge cowl unless there is power to back it up, but that just me. but over all its a hell of a lot better than any ricer hood ive seen

Yeah, I wasnt expecting the cowl to be so big, but it was either that or the OEM stlye one, and in my opinion that would look a little ricey and I wanted to keep it looking more badass you know? I like how it turned out. The weight im not exactly sure on but its really REALLY light i mean before I installed it i could pick it up between my thumb and my index and middle fingers

I am pretty anti-rice, but you guys take it too far. Just because its carbon fiber doesnt mean its ricey.

I think it looks dang nice. More cowl than what I would like on mine, but it blends with the paint well and I say leave it unpainted. You paid extra for the CF look, might as well show it off.

I hope you got something big under the hood though, cuz its gonna attract alot of attention.

It's your car and if YOU like it, than that's all that matters. It looks better than the dull stock one.

I am not that big at all in CF or billit trim, but I have been lookin at that and damn I think that would look good on my black 94 the cobra bumper. I mean I could save on the paint.

How much was it??

isn't that like the same heighth as the cobra rr hood? anyways, it looks ok- i think the reason i am undecided is because the colors don't match very well... green, black, and white don't do it for me, but since it's mostly dark it's not too bad

Haha, yeah I am a fan of carbon fiber ricey or not. Yeah me and my buddy installed the new hood, took like 5 mins and just dropped into place. The only trouble I had was with the stock latch, I had to unbolt it and push it up a little so that it would latch properly. Yeah the cowl is a little big, but GODDAMN does it keep that engine cool with that monster vent in the back, i mean i pushed the **** out of it and when I stopped at my house I popped the hood and the engine just seemed like it was idling, it used to be burning hot so the cowl is worth it. Ill have the power to back it up later, I kinda want to turbo it but im goin into college and thats not finannancially possible. Total it was 425 for the hood, 150 for shippin and 37 for tax (cali) so like 610ish total.

The rims arent white, theyre silver, theyre just really clean and gleamin in the sun, lol. I dont know how big the cowl is on the cobra RR hood, but this one is a 3" cowl (i think thats the sign for inches, lol).
