Thats a nice color. I got mine black because i new it would get freakin dirty. That does look killer though.

How much lighter will it make your car? Anyone notice our cars are getting lighter every year? I was looking at the weights of the new mustang for example, 3450 gt non vert. same weight as our year vert. look at the gm's and the gto is 3800#. chryseler hemis are 3800-4100+

I would expect at least a 60lb difference in weight between the two. The stock K was freakin super heavy. I could lift my tubular K with one hand. I know my car definately sits little higher in the front now after i did that.

Fit so far has been perfect. Will wait for to give final judgement until I get it all back together and aligned.

I am cleaning up the rack and so on.

Was light enough to put up with one hand and put the bolts in with the other.
This thing adds some serious clearance

Will post some more pics tomorrow.

Yeah i was so shocked at the lightness i held mine up too and started he bolts myself too. I was reccomended to use 5/8 grade 8 bolts by PA Racing for the A-arms. The clearance that it gives is just nuts i love it.

Here is my review of my install on the PARacing K-member

Great fit. As you can see it kept the geometry just like stock. No moving the wheels forward. Almost fell into position. Did some squaring on the member tightend it down and checked again. I used the rear lower control arm mounts as my reference for squareness.

Doesn't look like I will need major alignment work. Will have to do it when the motor is back in though.

The biggest problem I had was the rack mounts where a few mm too long. I ground it back to get some compression on bushings. This is probably due to me using urethane offsets. Also needed new bolts for the rack mount.

Overall this was a good experience. Well worth it.

This thing is LIGHT on the front end now. As mater of fact it doesnt squat at all W/O the motor. At first I thought my A-rms where binding. So I put my 200# ass in and jumped and it compressed down.

good news.

i just bought a k-member from aje for my build up. it has extra bracing cause i have a vert, and they moved the motor mounts down 1/2" to help lower the 351 to get under the hood. they also dropped the rack mounts 1/2" to help make room for the canton pan.

i hope mine fits as well as yours did.

Yeah i remember i had to get new bolts too. I dont remember having to shave down the rack mounts though. I used Urethane center cut bushings.

I thought the same thing too. The car sat so high. Once i got the engine and tranny in though it went back to normal pretty much maybe a 1/4in higher.
