Just picked up a 95 GT with very low mileage while in VA. Great condition, but the paint on the front end is very faded. Is it possible to try to restore it, or will it need to be repainted?

It’s hard to see in pictures, but from the doors forward it’s looks like like a different color.

I feel like you could polish it with a good wax, but it will only last a little while especially if parked outside.

I was thinking the same thing. The seller was a painter for a body shop down there. I had looked at a similar SN in NJ and it had the same mismatch.

Only time I have ever seen that is due to two different paint jobs but maybe Ford had a paint issue?

Buff the whole thing out. Put a good coat of wax on it and see what you think about it then.

I honestly can't see anything of what you're describing in the images but I suspect oxidation.

If you look below the passenger headlight you can see it… not a big deal. I still think just buffing/waxing more frequently will make the red pop back.

I was thinking the other side of that coin.... that the front clip was original paint and that the rest was a respray.
