hi I’m new to the forum. I have a few questions I’m looking into get a mustang. I have owned a sn95 before and I can’t seem to kick the mustang bug. So now me and the wife are going to get another one. At first I didn’t seem to like the S550 as much but following one driving into Cali it grew on me so that’s the one we want. Someone told me not to get a manual trans because they break. I just want to know if it’s true or not cause I love manual. Thanks for all the input

The early MT-82's were problematic especially behind the coyote engine, but Ford has worked out the bugs in the last 7 years.
While 6 speed MT82's are fun to drive (I love mine) the automatics are faster. If you plan to take the car to the track it is worth considering. I have added power to mine and run fat sticky tires and the Mt82 works flawlessly. I understand that the weak link if there is one is fifth gear, it's apparently made of sintered metal which doesn't seem to be a problem for me but I'm not abusing it either.
