New mod...Any suggestions?

Hey guys...I am planning on getting long tube headers (hopefully someone besides MAC makes a pair before I get the money saved) and flowmasters, which takes care of the front and back. I am not sure of what to do about the middle??? stock cats, high flow cats, x pipe, h pipe? I want it to have a good sound to it, but passing an e-check would also be nice...Any suggestions?

If you are running headers and flowmasters you would not want to use stock cats that would not be smart. If you need emmisions get a catted H pipe it gives a little performance.....not saying alot but will give you a good sound. The others (X) or prochamber etc will be no good if you need emissions testing unless you have someone weld cats in those for you, which is possible if you want to spend the extra money. What is your problem with MAC......they make good stuff even if some disagree, they would not be a big profitable company if they did not make good products.

Its not really that I am wanting to be emission legal...Its just that while I am in the process of modding my car, I dont really have the extra money to pay out every other year?!?

If you dont have the money to pay for your toys, then dont do them. If it was me get the LT's a X or H-pipe and run a good catback such as Mac or Bassani... flowmasters on a V6 sound awful
