Hi guys, I am putting in a new motor that I bought, it has trick flow heads, trick flow street heat intake, cam that I was told is between a B and an E cam, full length headers with h pipe. I have stock injectors now, I would think I need 24s, or maybe 30s? Also, best way to break it in, and would I hurt it if I went to the track right away? Thanks for any help.

Well i'll tell you this, going straight to the track with a freshly built engine, is not the correct way to break it in.

Im no efi guy but I will tell you this, we have taken 100's of fresh engines straight to the dyno over the years with no failures, and there's nothing harder than a dyno.

With that combo i wouldn't go higher than 24#ers. I'm running 24#er's on my car with no issues for fuel. 30#ers will be over kill and you will need to have a fuel pressure regulator to lower the pressure. That will result in poor performance and lower gas mileage(gas mileage, that's funny). Lowering the fuel pressure with larger squirters is not a good idea.

i have an adjustable regulator forgot to mention that, I was hoping to use the stock 19s for awhile untill i can afford 24. Also, i am going to drive the car to work for a few days to break in the motor, should get about 300 miles or so on it before i was planning on going to the strip. What kind of oil should i use to break in the motor, i usually use synthetic 10w30 mobile one. Also, when should i first change it. And most importantly, how do you set roller rocker arms (the valve lash)?
