The other night me and my two friends took my p.o.s. 10 psi of oil pressure out in less than 4 hours. and last night i just got my new 306 in. Heres the mods...Windsor Jr. Heads, 1.6 rr's, GT40 intake, 65mm tb and egr plate, E303 cam, 75mm maf, 24lb. injectors, Pete Jackson timeing gears, BBK shorties, o/r X pipe, flowmasters, cut crank 10/10,reconditioned rods, speed pro pistons, oil pump etc. Manley springs and guide plates, 302 bored to 306, all new cam, rod and main bearings ARP rod bolts, and all new seals. All this was done (bored, honed, assembled, clearanced, put in) by an 18 year old (me). I did everything except cut the crank and reconditon the rods which i could have done but didnt have time. Ive only put 80 miles on her so far mostly from me and Joe getting him a new distributor for his car. Im hoping to hit 300rwhp. i still got to check my timing again since it doesnt seem right. Joe is supposed to be taking a sound clip of my car, so you can hear my cam and timing gears. After its broken in should i use Mobil 1 synthetic or Royal Purple? What do u guys think of everything? Thanks

Mobil1 but that is just personal preference..

Did you get all that work done in one day or did you have another block waiting and ready to go in?

It really took a total of 2 days...1 day to take the old one out and to clean up the engine bay, change and splice in new 02 sensor harness, put in new t.o.b., clean header surfaces of old gaskets etc. I had another motor done to the shortblock then I put the top end on, swapped all the accesory brackets , new water pump, etc. and had the engine in that night and i go to start it and found out i somehow set the timing to the wrong cylinder, and i also was still on my 3.0L Taurus computer that ran my old 302 lol and it ran like crap because of the cam and biger injectors, once i got the mass air computers it ran awesome, but im having a timing problem, when i unhook the spout connector the timing barely changes so when i check the timing its at like 55 instead of 10 where i want it. what could be wrong, i no for a fact its not my timing gun and not my computer cuz i used them in my friends stang. And i put in a bbk adjustable fpr where should i put my fp at? How do i do it, with it idling with the vacuum line off? thanks and ill try and get some pics up
