So due to some shotty work by the previous owner my 78k mile motor let go. I got a new motor going in the car this week. Got a good deal on a motor out of a 98GT that was rear ended and totaled. The motor has only 43k on it and has a PI intake, PI cams, Under drives and a March fluid dampner crank pulley. I just also got a JLT CAI for it. What kind of power do you think this new motor would put down? Im new to the NPI world so I dont know much about how much power these motors make with these types of mods. Car also has H pipe and Mac catback. Thanks

be better off getting a lower mileage 99-04 model engine if you are going to swap the entire engine

Why? The NPI short block with PI heads and intake will make MORE power and torque than an origional 99-04 PI engine. the NPI will have a higher compression ratio, which increases power. However, you'll want to have it tuned!!! The computer will see the extra airflow and it will be pig rich, just as 98cobra281 said.
