yeah - i've had straight pipes on two stangs and its not exactly good. Sounds way too raspy

I have the 1 chambers and although i put my tails back on from the dumps i had so that i could talk on the cell phone in the car (back when i lived in the southwest and that wasn't illegal) i still set off alarms...

If i had the money, I'd buy Borla XR1's... but until then, 1 chambers are my fav. Nothing beats that flowmaster sound.

I wonder if the numbers from that chart were 2 chambers or 1 chambers... I'm gonna go with 2 chambers, because the 1 chambers aren't street legal i don't think. still would be interesting to see the difference in the two.

Just a little info for you. The warlocks made the most power and I am assuming the db #s are capped because they are ****loads louder than flows when they are uncapped. They are loud!

You should make note with this that the Flowmasters used in that test were for a truck. This changes pretty much everything.

Not supporting nor knocking anything on their list, just noting that for reference.

Yes. The Bullets were loud as all hell on my car. That was the thing i didn't like about them, they didn't really have any range of sound, they were just LOUD from idle to WOT. Maybe i'm getting old or something but i'm bored with driving a car that's obnoxiously loud at all times. I want it to sound like it definitely means business and i definitely don't want it quiet, but i don't wanna have to yell to have a conversation while sitting at a red light or cruising down the highway. But when i step into the gas i want all hell to break loose.

With the Bullets, all hell is broke loose from the moment you turn the key...and that's awesome, i just wanted something different for a change. When i step on the gas, my setup isn't any quieter than the Bullets, it just calms down at idle and cruise speed.

Try something new, Borla Stingers, Bassani Race Mufflers, M55s, Magnapacks... All these sound killer on 4.6s, wonder how they would sound on a fox?

Honestly i don't really know how they'd compare to 1 chambers since i've never seen a cross section of one, but from looking at the muffler, it's pretty much the same size and general shape now, except the back of mine are in a V shape with the outlets at the tip of the V.

Also mine have an offset inlet like a typical 2 chamber and then the center exit out the back. I just got finished polishing up my welds so maybe i'll go out and take a cruise and try to get a few more clips. Then again, if i were buying new mufflers right now, it would either be Spintech or SLP Loud Mouths.

Spintechs I dont believe will be louder then Bullitts or SLPs. I have Spintechs with long tubes and an off road X and although it seems like its going to be loud, it wont be obnoxious loud!

I'm running on SLP LoudMouth IIs on my '87 Mark VII and love them. They're pretty damn loud at WOT and are even pretty vocal under normal driving, but have no drone while cruising. The sound is a lot sharper than the MagnaFlows on a friends car, guess you could say the SLPs have more "bark."

i figured slps are probaly the loudest "muffler" but the loudest after SLP LM would be race bullets i would think?
