Went down to Manchaca today to see how my car was doing. The guys done a great job on the body work and has completely smoothed out the roof which is to me amazing based on the original condition. Hes fixed a bunch of other dents too. He said hes hoping by tomrrow it will be ready for primer and that he hopes it will be done by the end of the week...Some pictures from today...

Looking good. You will be glad you had it done. Make sur eyou take care of it this winter so that it looks nice next summer

I feel your pain though, mine is at the shop getting completely stripped, straightened, and an epoxy coat put on. These are about a month ago, since then the rear quarters are fixed, frame is straight, roof welds repaired, cowl sealed, all panels "hot tanked". Don't ask the price, because it shot my budget all to hell and back. Oh well.

a quick ?

It looks like the shops left your interiors in place. I was under the impression that for a car to be stripped, primed and painted, you had to pull the interior of the car. Or are the places I have taken my car to simply trying to justify tagging me for more money?

Barton,

Is this guy going to paint inside the doors? Is he going to pull the rest of the chrome off before painting or is he just going to tape arround it?

Just curious...

Looks Good So Far!!

Mine's going in next summer. Car was hit in the front fender when the PO had it. Cheap paint job after that - though it does look very good right now the paint won't last.

You notice little things - they taped around the antenna instead of removing it - windows weren't pulled. It nice to see pictures of the job (hopefully A1) on such fine steeds

Mine is not paint, just body work, epoxy coat, and one layer of primer. I have to fine someone to paint it and also find some more money.

Well my roof had a few bubbles from a cheap, half ass job from last time. This time I will be in charge of getting the shop for paint......it will not look like the crap pile it does now. BTW Barton, what happened to American Racing Blue? I see in the sig that you are going with Viper GTS blue...what happened?
