The new motor runs very well, needs tuning to get the idle right but I just saw that the oil pan is leaking up front and in back! It's a fel pro one piece and still! Damn, NOT in the mood to pull motor again......

question... this engine and the oil pan gasket are totally new. the car had only run about 8 mins in total. if i lift the motor with my hoist, drop the pan and reposition the gasket to sit better, would that work? or is the gasket trash after being used for a bit?

Make sure you don't wrench down on those bolts, if you squeeze the gasket out the side you have tightened them too much, even pressure. Yes, you should have used a little gasket sealer on both sides of the whole thing.
