New Owner Stupid Questions

Hello all I just bought my first Mustang Yesterday. It is a 95 Mustang Convertible GT. Laser Red with White Top. Well being a new owner I have a few questions. First of all is their a Trunk Release button inside the car, or is the only way to open it with your key? Also how do I know if my car has the Keyless Entry Module. I have a remote my friend gave me that was from a mustang but will it work, if so how do I program it? Also does anyone have any Pics of a Laser Red Mustang Convertible with a white top, I need some ideas on what to do with the car. It is completely stock. Phew..... sorry for all the questions.

P.S. on what years did the fat 5 spoke GT rims come out on. I think they are 17's but look like 16's

Welcome to the family. If there is a trunk release inside the car, it will be behind the glove box door on the left side. The only way I know to tell if your car has keyless entry would be to look for the module. It's in the trunk, behind the driver's side panel. If you do have the module, there is a simple way to program your remote but I forget what it is. Hopefully, somone on here will fill you in. Good luck with it!

1. in the dash the yellow button on the top left pops the trunk
2. lock ur car and then pull on the door handle- lights turn on, u have keyless entry; if not, better luck next time
3. lazer red with WHITE top... next time you get a top get black- looks much better imo
4. the bullit rims (i think ur talking about) look absolutely stunning on a red car - Deep dish 10.5 rear wheels in anthracite rule with the 9" up front (17" diameter)

The trunk release is in the glovebox. It is a yellow button on the left. About the keyless entry I do really know cause mine has an aftermarket one But the owners manual should tell you how to reprogram one.

PS I think I know which rims your talking about. And they where made from 94-98.

Thanks guys for the fast replys. When you say look in the trunk wich panel is it? Is it the one on the side of the trunk or towards the rear seats? The only lights that come on when I pull the handle are the interior lights. Also I checked the owners manual and they dont tell you how to reprogram they want you to go to the Dealer to do it so they can rip us off. One more thing. What clear headlights and corners would you guys recommend, I dont want something that is gonna fog up after one use in the rain etc. but i also dont have the money to spend on $300+ Headlights. Also one of my Fog lights is dead does anyone know if it is a bulb that neads to be changed or the whole housing is with the bulb and everything has to be changed. Thanks

well then u have keyless if the lights come on (the car is locked right). my lights don't come on when u pull the handle.

the headlights are fine but the corners kinda suck- u should get those one piece headlight/corner combo and see how they work

u can just replace the bulb

goto www.50resto.com they have all kinds of replacement parts. I got the cobra lights including corners and bulbs for arounf 250 shipped. They have cheaper one. Our lights sucks after they get old the start to fog over and don't let that much light out. By the way welcome. The guys here are great I have learned alot from this forum.

Wow you guys are so friendly and helpful. This is the only forum I have ever posted in where I get 6 respones within an hour and a half. Right Now the car reads 67,000 miles. The person I bought it from won the car in a CHURCH RAFFLE. WHat Luck huh? Hopefully I will get some luck out of it too DonJohn do you have a picture of those one piece headlights on a car. I am interested in seeing what they look like. ANything is better than what i have now, it looks like my headlights were urinated on they are so yellow

Welcome to the forum...

If you need some pics/wheels idea's, hit the FAQ section and look up the aftermarket/wheel posts...You'll prolly find that Laser/White top pic....got a couple of em in there...

The module should be behind the panel on the driver's side. It's the one that keeps you from looking at the inside of your driver's side quarter panel when you look in the trunk. Like I said, I don't remember the procedure for programming the remote but it is definitely something you can do yourself. It has something to do with jumping two wires and holding your remote buttons. If you search the message boards here, you may find it. These boards are where I saw the procedure.

actually, i'm not sure if anybody has them, we all want someone to buy them but eveybody already has the 2 piece so noone wants to waste the money... i'll try and find a link for u. BTW: another reason nobody wants them is because they're not cobra style but more a BMW halo version which many don't like, i'm not sure if u wanna be the test dummy on this one- they might look really cool i think
