New PCV Valve doesent look the same...

Guys i just bought a pcv valve for my car has these two plastic things coming out of the end of it but the one thats plugged into the back of my lower intake has a hose plugged into the end of it where these two things are..What gives? Im pretty sure im looking at the right thing on my car..its plugged into the back of the lower intake and is connected to a vaccuum line and it says motorcraft on it. Please help

The black plastic ontop of the new valve just pulls off and you are left with what is in the car now. Also make sure you pull out the screen that is in the intake BELOW the PCV valve and clean or replace it. A new PCV grommet may be helpful as well.

Umm..wouldnt i have to take the upper and lower intake manifold off in order to to do that?

Nah, you can reach around w/ some needlenose pliers and pull the screen right out of the hole. It's about the size of a quarter and 1in tall.

The first time I did it on my '90 mustang it took about 20min to figure out, but when I did it on my 95, I was done in about 2min.

Yeah i loooked down in there and its nice and nasty-lookin..I didnt know what the heck it was because its all brown and weird lookin..I thought spiders were makin a nest in my intake or somethin!! I put the new valve on but ill pull it back off and put a new grommet on and screen this weekend.
