LOL, it is pretty old school since now you can find composite spacers that do the same thing that the wood does, and then you eliminate any question about moisture being an issue.

They got a lot of work in them. Everything that could be done was done. They aren't just 428CJ heads anymore.

I run both classes. Super Pro and Pro with my Falcon. But on big events I bring my Mustang and run it in Pro and my Falcon in Super Pro.

Your Falcon is runing on gas, right? Have you thought about converting over to methanol? Heads up out here at Sunshine doesnt have any rules in regards to engine modifications and parts,so we plan on switching over to methanol to pick up a few tenths (and save on fuel....55 gal. barrel is $220 As opposed to Torco 118NOS witch is at about $12.50 a gallon )

I made some passes last weekend but nothing to brag about. Best pass was 1.46 60ft 6.62@102 10.59@107. I found out that the converter is way to tight. I also found out it doesn't have a 9.70 in it. But I do think in good weather after I get everything sorted out it will go 9.90's We had the timing set low and We aren't going to make any adjustment until after I have a few passes on the motor. Don't mind all the wires and stuff on my Falcon. I just threw everything together so I could go to the track. I still have to get my fiberglass hood put on well I have to get either a cowl or hood scoop fiberglassed on it. I still have plenty of work to do on it. I'm also thinking about backhalfing the car or putting caltrac on. It just spun the tires off the line.

When I get home I will up load the Videos. First pass I went 11.05@121. I was pissed. Cause the weekend before I went 1.46 60ft 6.62@102 10.59@125. So I checked everything out. Come to find out that the timing was at 10*. So I put it to 37*. Go out and run 1.480 6.541@105.69 10.292@129.96. Then the 3rd pass .000 reaction 1.502 60ft 6.549@105.82 10.290@130.52. It blowing the tires off at the starting line. So I got to make a decision about CalTracs or Laddar bars. I felt a bad vibartion in the rear. I don't know if it's the driveshaft or rearend but it was bad enough to make me dizzy and lose my breath. This is on one of the hottest days in South Florida.
