Toledo, oh
So I'm building my first Mustang. Since I'm new to this, I'm not sure about all the do's and don'ts. I was just wondering if all the 302's came with 3 dowel pins in the flywheels. And if all the pins must be there to keep the pressure plate centered. I've got a built 302. Block is from a '75. And there is one dowel pin in the flywheel. I've got a new king cobra, 10.5 in. clutch. Is that one dowel pin enough with the 6 pressure plate bolts? The books say it will chatter without the pins. But every place i look is sold out of the pins. Am I worrying about nothing?

I was told that you can go to the dealer as well for the pins. and Yes you do need three if memory serves me correctly. I have read in past threads of guys not putting them in and not running into problems. But my reasoning is if Ford had them in there original they must be there for a reason.
