Ok guys well I took the car out this morning for about a 45minute test drive after playing with the carb,it runs a little better still has hesitation but when I got out and popped the hood something had blew oil all over the passenger side of the hood near the front. It looked like it came from the dipstick area. What could have caused this? Its also getting on my headers somehow every once and awhile I can see a lil blue smoke coming from passenger side under the hood.

PLease help!!!!!!!

Thanks,
-Nathan

a picture is worth 1000 words. snap off a couple and we'll see what we can do to help you out.

are you sure it's oil, and not power steering fluid?

Was the dip stick out of the little tube? Do you smell burning oil when that smoke rises up off the header?

Check and see if oil is being sucked from the valve cover to the carb. through that little tube. If its going from the valve cover to the carb. its going the wrong way. Sometimes you can look in your air cleaner and see oil and youll know then.
If it is, check and see if your PCV valve is stuck closed. That little hose from the carb to the valve cover is just so air can get into your crank case, its suppost to flow from the carb to the valve cover and into to the crank case. Then it circulates through the crank case and exits through the PVC valve and into the intake manifold. If the PCV valve gets stuck closed, the pressure in the crank case builds up and it will reverse flow in that little tube from the carb to the valve cover and sometimes it will blow the dip stick out.

I'll try to get those pics soon.Yes oil is being sucked from the pcv in the valve cover into the carb. The place on the carb where they have that hose hooked has alot of vaccum.Yes I smell burning oil when the smoke comes up from the header. The oil drips from the bottom of the pcv onto the header.

Well, that means your PCV valve is stuck closed. The air is supposed to travel FROM the carb TO the valve cover. Either replace the valve or try to fix that one.
