Without giving away EVERY detail just yet here's what we did (my mechanic friends did te work, I handed them tools, cleaned up afer them, paid for lunch, kept the beer and iced tea flowing, and took pictures):

Took Tubular KMember out of Donor car and put my stock one back in there with my brakes, springs, shocks and A-arms.

Left Cobra Brakes Cobra A Arms NEW Steeda Springs and new shocks under my car for now

Removed front bumper and Removed all the harnesses from ALL OVER the engine bay.

NEXT up: WELDING engine bay to prep for repainting...should be a week from Saturday if all goes well.

looking good.

What brand Kmember is that? I want to do one eventually and plan on running 03 control arms like that one. I know not all K's can run stock style A-arms.

That is the QA1 from Steeda.

Also forgot to mention that we got the cluch pedal assembl out of both cars, and installed my manual one back in the donor car. Still need to put the 2-pedal assembly back in mine.

Looks good. Are planning on smoothing out the inner fenders? I wish I had done that when my engine was out. I still might do it next winter if I'm changing heads.

More or less, to be able to start the car by second week of July.. Next is by the end of July to have the car running, tuned, suspension work done and able to drive without issues. Next will be the interior within a few weeks. The paint job will be spring of next year.

As far as not driving it...I have hardly driven it at all the last 3 years..just got tired and working on other projects.. Since this current project is a "ONCE IN A CAR OWNERSHIP LIFETIME" IM willing to take it really slow and do it right. The reward will be well worth it.

If all goes well..NEXT week Sat will be welding steel in the engine bay.. My painter wants to come buy and get a look at what we want to plan for engine bay paint.

Thanks all!!

Keep picking away at it, you will get it all eventually. When I started my mod project this spring I never thought Id get the list down to nothing left to buy. Things kept coming up that I forgot I needed or just wanted to also get but the last part I wanted to buy I purchased last week and now I just have to get everything on and get it tuned and I'll be in good shape.
