Sweet! This is a drag race type of car? If not I'd consider some sort of structural support from the cage thru the firewall to the front clip. The rear is going to be really nice and stiff. But you did write "not complete".
What is the floor structure made of? Looks like 2 layers of metal? Not really adding anything besides horizontal torsional stiffness & weight? ;)
Exhaust thru the frame rails on either side? Going to be LOW and clean underneath!

There are still alot of tubes to be added. Some of the tubes are also hidden in the drawing when the snapshots were taken.

ok, now I have time to answer your questions fully!:)

This is being built for road racing. It will be fitted with a 66' Fastback fiberglass body but will also work with the original steel one with some trimming!:D

There is support through the firewall, we just have the tubes hidden for the time being. We don’t want to give it all away too soon.

The floor is made of CNC laser cut plate that snaps together, the vertical sections are not there but there is plenty of support. This is a design we have been working on for some time now. The weight to strength ratio is more then we originally expected.

The sides are two 4" by 4" tubes that the exhaust will run through, the chassis overall has a very low COG and the geometry is insane to complement that.

Every tube, notch, bend, plate, part, and fixture is made in the computer and will be CNC cut. All the plate is CNC laser cut and the tube is CNC laser cut as well.

Sticky please!

Jason, that looks killer and will be very interesting to follow. With a fiber body the CG will be insanely low! Dry sump aluminum engine an 1" off the ground to complement plz. :nice:
Is that IronCAD or...? Heavy Solidworks user myself, some car stuff but mostly aviation.
