BFG vs. Nitto
I had a pair of Nitto 555R's and they work pretty good, for all around use. For street, they work better than the Goodyear's when still new, that is until the tread starts to wear out, then you start having problems in the rain, like hydro-gliding in particular.
Personally, I think the only reason why the Nitto's last longer, is because they're harder than the BFG's. I can't complain much about the Nitto's because I'd take my car and burn out those tires every other Sunday night at the track until I ripped a hole in one of them, and I still got about 20K mi. (6 month) from them.
The only bad thing was that I wasn't always pleased with the traction. On the other hand I have friends that have better traction with the BFG's, yet their tires don't last no where near as long as the Nitto 555R's. hope this helps.
