New Rear Tires: BFG or Nitto?

DAMN! I was going to go with BFG G-force's too this summer! But lasting 500-3000miles or even 10k is :notnice: I didn't like the tread design on the Nittos, i felt that if it rained there was no good tread design to filter the water out. Oh well i guess...going with the nittos again maybe :(

18 inch Nittos will barely last for 10,000 miles if you go to the track even once.

also remember guys, nittos are skinnier than other brands

That being said, Im going with the 18 inch nitto DRs this summer

Me too. Nitto claims that they are good for up to 15,000 miles.

BFG vs. Nitto

I had a pair of Nitto 555R's and they work pretty good, for all around use. For street, they work better than the Goodyear's when still new, that is until the tread starts to wear out, then you start having problems in the rain, like hydro-gliding in particular.

Personally, I think the only reason why the Nitto's last longer, is because they're harder than the BFG's. I can't complain much about the Nitto's because I'd take my car and burn out those tires every other Sunday night at the track until I ripped a hole in one of them, and I still got about 20K mi. (6 month) from them.

The only bad thing was that I wasn't always pleased with the traction. On the other hand I have friends that have better traction with the BFG's, yet their tires don't last no where near as long as the Nitto 555R's. hope this helps.
