Well, new to me. I got a pair of used CR1's from a friend, with the Mustang specific sliders. The passenger side seat has a rip on the side so I am going to get them re-covered. I am going to stick with blue. Woo-hoo!! What do you think - too flashy?

I am not a blue fan, but it will go nice with your SS stripes.

Looks sweet. The blue may be too much, depends on the rest of the interior. And now the big question. . .

Hissin50 - I can where you're coming from. That was an issue that I had as well, considering that the interiors of these cars were solid black, with some gray in the seats.

loudpedal99 - They are 27lbs each. I am anxious to see how they compare to the stock cloth seats. Some say the Cobras had magnesium seat frames to make them lighter - seems pretty sensational to me. I'm hoping to save some weight with these seats.

Weird enough, my car looks very similar to yours. I have had those seats for about 3 years with no problems at all. They are awesome and get TONS of looks at gas stations and such. One word of advice....when pulling the stock wiring from the stock seats, make SURE all wires are not around the sliders. If you drop those new seats in, screw them down, then sever a wire...you are screwed in having to find a way to get that seat out if you cant move it with the electronics. I speak from personal experience of an extremely long weekend.

Here's one of the outside. For some reason I can't find my shots of the inside. I need to take some new ones tomorrow anyways. I'll post my interior then.

Sorry it took so long to post. I went to the Buckeyes game. 48-7. Northwestern didn't even show up.

i love those "specific" sliders. they specifically didn't fit in my car. i ended up having to raise them a considerable amount to clear, and i have carpet with no insulation. you should let us know how yours fit, maybe it was just an issue with my car.

My sliders fit fine, they were specific. I actually bought the seats and brackets thru a group buy here on Stangnet before they changed all the rules about how to have a group buy.

Seat Wiring: Yeah, I tied my wire in a knot then taped it up with electrical tape. Ain't going nowhere and a cheap solution.

Sliders: I got Corbeau seat with the Mustang specific sliders by Corbeau and they fit perfectly. I've never had a mod fit this well. Because the sliders are thicker than the stock rails AND I have cross braces on my subs, I had to get longer bolts. Bolts cost only a couple bucks at Home Depot.

Corbeau Seats: Way better than stock. You'll realize how much tossing around the stock seats allowed.

Nobody: great looking car! Blue stripes on white looks great. Just reminds me that I need to replace my well worn front bumper with a Cobra version. The blue seats will probably look good, too. Post pics when done!

Bimmertech - Well I got them in and the sliders fit great. Maybe you got some bum sliders or the first run or something. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

Car Nut - Yeah I have cross-brace SFC's as well. I had a seat in already when I discovered that the bolts were too short That's what took so long for me to get them in. I had to be somewhere this evening. Once I got home, with the right bolts, it took 30 minutes tops.

For those considering these seats, they increase the legroom by several inches - good for tall people. I'm 5'9" and with the seat all the way back, I can't push in the clutch pedal.

I'll also add another vote for tall folks. I'm 6'5" tall and with the Corbeau seats and Corbeau sliders, I have more leg room than before. I am actually comfortable now. I got rid of the Saleen pedals soon aftwards because they just got in the way more (each pedal a little too big) and put in Bullitt pedals. Now everything feels great with my long legs and size 14 shoes.

holy **** thats huge!!! can you post that side view pic of your car CarNut?? im trying to gauge ride height with different springs and i remember you had a side view pic a while back...
