New Shocks And Struts. Yet, Drive Is As Horrible.

Hello, I recently purchased and installed Eibach Pro-damper shock and struts for mt 02 GT.

First off, when I purchased the car it was already lowered (lowering springs are yellow and I couldn't find a name brand). Freeway bumps made me jump off my seat with some bounce. Drive was hard and it felt like shocks would bottom out due to the big thumps. After replacing my shocks and struts with Eibach shock and strut kit yesterday, I still received a very harsh ride with freeway potholes and bumps making me jump up (no bounce effect of going up and down, just a harsh up with a brutal down) with the loud thumps that at first made me feel the shocks were blown on my old shocks and struts. Even with the new shocks and struts the ride is harsh to an unacceptable level feeling just as my old shocks and struts, I don't want BMW quality but I don't want to break my back either.

Wouldn't the shocks and struts help with bounce up and hard hit down? Most online research tells me shocks and struts are the cause of harsh drive, but not in my experience. Any personal experiences and advice will be greatly appreciated.

At this point I'm thinking about purchasing ford racing lowering c springs to go with my new Eibach shocks and struts. Seems like the c springs will raise height while keeping good performance. Help please. Thanks in advance guys!

Update on springs:

I purchased the ford racing c-springs to replace the non name brand lowering springs that came on the car. The springs made all the difference in the world. The car does not bounce like it did before and its not harsh , which was another of my worries. After some research I did find some people who complained about c springs being too harsh. However, the c springs combined with the eibach shocks and struts are a great combination for a daily driver. Smooth ride even even through potholes , which exceeded my expectations. The springs won't "dump" your car to the ground for those trying to go for a really big drop.

I hope this information helps those who might have the same issue now or in the future. I will gladly post pictures if anyone does request it.

Thank you
