My 87 lx hatch has always had a lean on the front drivers side, I thought it was just the strut blown out so I just had all new suspension put on...kyb's, eibach pro-kit, subframes, and granatelli UCA & LCA's. The lean did not change after installing these parts, now every time I go around a right hand corner its rubbing the entire corner. The passenger side does not rub at all on a hard left turn. Is there anyway to shim up the driver side for it to sit level and have no more rubbing issues?

I've had this same problem and have done much research on this subject. Heres some possible solutions. On slight leans some have taken the isolater bushings out on the high side. Others on worse leans have used shims read large washers to even things up a bit. I read three years worth of post on this problem and have come up with no reason why this problem exist, but believe me you are not the only one who has it. Some say the problem is control arm bushings, others say distorted torque boxes, bent frames, bad ball joints, coil spring pig tails pointed the wrong way. I've heard them all and checked them off my list with no luck. If you find the problem pm me please for I have all but given up. Good Luck.

Did you position your new Springs correct inbetween the 2 holes in the Lower A Arm?

I would be willing to bet somethings got bent. A friend of mine did a ton of work to his motor but didnt hardly do anything to the suspension. Well he raced it and bent a ton of stuff up and pretty much tore the car apart. Subframe conectors are a good investment. He had the lean and also couldnt fix it only thing I could come to was he bent part of the unibody.

When I bought the car a year ago it still had the stock air box silencer on it and the plug wires from 1987 while it had 130k miles, so I kind of don't think it was beat too much. For the install...I didn't do it...my mechanic did it and he's been working on mustangs for I don't know how many years, but its been a lot. I'll give them a little while to see if they settle down in after a couple weeks of driving.
