Engine New Tb And Tps Question

I know there is a thread on my issue already as I've seen it before, but I cannot find it for the life of me.

I recently installed a new BBK throttle body and plenum on my 98GT and now I'm getting a CEL for low output from the TPS. What's the fix for this?

Does the throttle linkage move freely with no binding? Are both throttle return springs in place?

Have you performed the manufacturer's procedure regarding setting the Idle stop screw?

Pay special attention to the wires leading to/from the TPS. Look for bent/pushed pins.

Yes all appears in order. I changed the TB almost a year ago. I dont drive car much but it just came on last week. Maybe has 200 miles on it since I changed the TB.

In the procedure to establish the idle is there also a point where the TPS is set?

Bottom line. Either there's a bad wiring connection to the TPS or the TPS position is negative at idle, or the TPS minimum value is creeping down after the motor starts.
