UPDATE:New times for new combo. If anyone gives a ^&@^

89 GT...3050 pounds...ET streets...5500 launch...Powershifted.

12.13 @ 113....spun
12.10 @ 112.89....Let out to much air of tires
12.05 @ 113.98...good pass/ tried more timing
12.02 @ 113.05...better pass

Car started to miss and the wire harness caught fire.

In the process of ripping the computer out and sticking a NASTY carb on it.

Expect 11.50s. Maybe .60s but thats OK.

Later guys and good luck this summer to all the DRAG RACERS on here.

UPDATE

CARB swap done.

11.55@114 was the best time.

Mike

Those are good times. What's your combo? Let us know how the car runs with the carb. I am curious.

TFS street.
Gt-40 heads (iron)
Lunati cam
3.73s and Et streets.

Plus all other bolts ons that make you go fast.

Car runs good. I expect the carb will perform really well.

My right foot is bigger than yours.....LOL

The car weight really has alot to do with it. It rips out of the whole. Runs 1.57-1.63 60 foots

Still flogging the hell out of your GT I see Too bad about the wiring harness. Is that the only reason you're going carbed?

Always loved CARBS and Wiring harness burnt. Carbs make better power easier.

I have been building a 427 smallblock COUPE. I have not decided on ALL MOTOR or SPRAY. I am leaning towards a 427/powerglide/5.13 gear/300 shot of giggle juice. It will be ready in the SUMMER. As for the GT it will be in the 11s very soon. Budget brawler. I love the GT. It blisters away from stoplights. ET STREETS RULE.

Those times are great to begin with, but considering you are running stock engine with only GT40 heads, that's wicked. Seems that the suspension has a lot to do with that as well. Keep up the good work.
