New Tires Today

Finally broke down and had to get new tires today. Scored some Dunlop Direzza DZ101's for a killer deal utilizing my "friend" discount. This will be my first experience with these tires. I'll let you guys know how they work out after I get my alignment tomorrow and can drive them for more than 4 miles in a day (my shop is 2 miles from my house).

Got the car aligned on Sunday and have driven it for 2 days now. So far so good. I haven't gotten on it hard all because I don't want to have to buy another set of tires any time in the near future. On dry pavement the car feels planted pretty well, handles the curves well and they stop surprisingly well. I haven't had a chance to drive it in the rain yet to see how they handle. I do like how quiet they are. I know they aren't "super tires" or anything else like that but, I do like the 30,000 mile warranty and the price I got them for.

Also, I got them all 245 45 17 so that I can rotate them and keep the tire wear even as possible. I love the staggered look but, I'll have another set of tires on some 15 x 10 inch rims for the track.
