Thats pretty close to what a T56 swap would cost, isnt it?

I know you can get the Mcleod for about $10 cheaper. The trannies come with yokes, at least the old TKOs did. Id also check into a better clutch disc for your motor, like a spec stage 3. You also dont *need* that adjustable x-member. Just grind the tac welds off, slide it back, and re-tack them

I have the spec stage 3 now, not sure if it will work tho..this trans is rated in excess of holding 600lbs of tq.

The t56 transmission alone is $1999. Not counting coversion pieces.

You're current spec stage III disc wont work, need a fine spline disc. I just upgraded to the stageIII from my stageII, same pressure plate. Cost $150 shipped for just the disc from spec. They told me it will hold 680ft lbs of torque. I would go for it.

I only have the 3550 tremec right now. I would go for the spec, the tko has a fine spline input shaft so any clutch you run would have to be fine spline.

Hey, Check out www.x2cmotorsports.com for their version of the TKO $1,699.00. Says its good for a 3300lb car going 9.90's in the quarter and 140mph, which is like what, 800hp? Thats like 200hp more for $23, just something else to chew on. Good Luck with what ever you get.

oh, ok. Ive got the same one, at least i think it is.

If you drive the car alot though, or rather plan too, the street twin would be a great clutch setup. Really soft pedal and will hold all the power you can throw at it.

Man!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the sickening feeling is due to the fact you were originally looking to get a tranny/scattershield set up and wound up with 2k in other sheot That rocks though, I gotta do something about brakes, I have a feeling after trying to slow down from a good run on the new motor with stock brakes, i'll scare myself enough to get some

Yeah, you spent a bundle on your tranny, but since you did it right you probally won't have to worry about anything for a long time. Good luck on your new tranny.
