Hey all. We just moved to moncks corner. What kinda car related stuff is there to do around here?? Any good car clubs, shows?? I know the lowcountry dragway is like 3 blocks from my house...well be there sat So nice to have a track around the corner... in NY we had to drive 2+ hrs.

Don't know how close you are to Savannah, but were having a cruise in at the Krogers across from Savannah Mall. Am looking for gatherings close to the border myself.

Hope you find some information from some.

I'll be moving too Charleston mid-next year. My g/f is being stationed at the Charleston AF base. She mentiond that lowcountry dragway. Let me know how it is if you could. Thanks...

Low Country Dragway is excellent!

Hands down, the best track and with the best management of any track I have seen. They really care about their customers there.

Always a good time and lots of cars..

Jackson Dragway is a good 1/4 mile track just south of us and its one of my favorite 1/4 mile tracks. Our club goes there every year for the SVT Cobra Club drags. That track hooks better than Low Country Dragway does.

Yea it seems like a good track, pretty relaxed compared to some of the tracks Ive been too. One guy told me its where he gets the best traction (I need that lol)
Neither my bf or i ran our cars, couldent justify risking blowing up when neither of us have jobs yet.
I dont know if its always this way...but ive never seen so many cars have problems, it seemed like they spent more time cleaning fluid off the track then racing.

They are open till dec rite? Maby I will get to run my car before lowcountry re opens in feb....ill just have to pay more to get towed home after i break something.


Ohh yea...are all the cars around here always so fast?? The slowest car there was running 8.50's and he said he just blew his motor and threw that one in for now. Makes me feel really slow

Damn now I don't want to take my bolt on bucket lol. There another track a bit aways I've read good things about. I think it's called carolina dragway aka "The house of hook" That track is great from what I've read, well hell the nick name house of hook says it all. Glad to hear positive feedback fro that track, thanks people

na dont worry about that... lol i really dont have much done to my 92.. but the two 86's are a diff story..

Im in charleston to, west ashley to be exact and im in SMAF (southern mustang and ford).. you should check it out this coming tuesday, if i do go you will just have to look for the young 15 year old kid and you'd easily see me.. basically the youngest owner there lol So what part of goosecreek you living at?

This tuesday is the monthly meeting at C&W buffet.. i was gonna go but my dads gotta head off to maryland for some mazda training so i might hitch a ride with a friend. Your lucky to live RIGHT there.. i have to drive a damn long way to get there and it sucks especially when the cruiser car has semi-heat lol

If your off cypress gardens rd then your on the same street the strip is on correct. We've got family in Moncks Corner. I live in Summerville off Dorchester Rd. I have talked to some guys with the Mustang club here. They stopped by my work in West Ashley to say hello. Sounds like a bunch of good guys/girls attend.

yup im 2 min from the track. My bf just got a job at the ford dealer on dorchester.

well if your not to embarrased to hang around a 15 year old then you should have a friend there hopefully lol Hes parts manager for all the stores.. runs most of the dealership anyway and hes looking for good parts men.. ah well maybe another time

Welcome to good ole SC!! I'm in the upper part Greenville area. The BlackMustangClub will be having a meet in Columbia sometime next spring. And there is Mustangweek in July 24-30 at Myrtle Beach.
And SMAF is a great club to be part of..I know a few of their members and they are a great group of people!!

Yea im down th eroad from Palmetto Ford. I think I know who your pops is also. He has a couple Stangs of his own, if we are talking about the same person. We deal with pal ford from my work. We sell them tires also. Small world huh. I need to sell my 16" pony's anyone need some. Great shape. $200.00 free delivery to ponygrl or the chevyeater. lol Tell your pops to trade out my new oil pan for my 86 still in the box from pal ford and get me some lx taillights. lol cya guys/girls
