Hey guys, I just bought my first Mustang so you will be seeing me around! Just bought her last week, V6 Auto with 120k miles. Enjoy the pics, and feel free to take a look at my first technical question http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-for...on-sometimes-slow-to-shift-into-first.862408/

P.S. Getting file uploaded too large, ill have to upload some later after I have time to re-size them.

Great color and welcome to

Admittedly, this forum is not the end all in V6 performance but we have some vendors here like American Muscle that have some great stuff for your car. I bought my wife an 06, V6 vert a little over a year ago and she INSISTS that I not mod it but I'm wearing her down.

I've already got her talked into letting me do a suspension package and then maybe a turbo kit. I'm thinking somewhere around 300 to 350 RWHP is my ultimate goal for her car. I was bitten by the bug a LONG TIME AGO (no wise cracks) and couldn't leave well enough alone with my car so why should hers be any different.

I know the feeling. Talking with the wife about getting some flowmasters. We'll see. I love how they sound on my V6 Camaro. I would consider putting one of those superchargers on there, but I don't have the skills to tune it and the engine already has 120k miles without so I'm probably not going to push my luck.

Also I love the sig! That dog probably never thought he'd get to experience 0 gravity.

...and once he did, he STILL didn't know what the F happened. LOL

Flowmaster... FTL IMO, there's only one exhaust system for V6's that doesn't sound like ass and it's from Bassani. Spend the money up front and spend it once.

This cat-back system is the one I was looking at:
http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/s...9&ab=817510&recordID=562&vehicle=&orig=817510

Video...

Were you talking specifically about the single american thunder kit? I have flowmasters on the Camaro and have always loved the sound (I'd get you some clips but this is a Mustang forum ).

It looks like I have 2 cats on the system already so it should be pretty easy.

The Magnaflows are a bit too ricey for my taste. I like the much deeper tones of Borla and Bassani.

Guess I'd have to hear them both in person. Unfortunately the audio in the clips can t do either system justice. Just got a clip on my cell from the flow masters on the Camaro and it sounds terrible in comparison. I assume that Bassani exhaust is available without the headers? Also do you think there will be any performance gain moving to a true dual exhaust? I figure I'll probably get somewhere between 0-10 HP gain or something.

I do not think there will be a performance gain from ANY V6 exhaust where the motor is unmodified.
