My old truck finally chit the bed... back cab mounts rotted thru... Sucks as the truck has 123k and ran the balls...but the N.E. winters and salt killed it.

Ended up finding this nice 99 Tacoma SR5 4 cyl, 5 spd with AC and 58k on it.. Pretty mint.. done a few mods... adding a sweet stereo system with a 12" sub in the back...bought an xtra cab just for that reason.. added a tonneau to help with the gas milage.. gets 22 around town. Just got a K&N tonite and got some 3" tubing and turbo connectors to put a CAI on it tonite. I painted up the stock rims, added some chrome lugnuts to clean it up a tad.. Been trying not to look at some alloy rims and nice BFG's to throw on it... Only thing that sucks is it's Black and always looks dirty...
First yoda I owned and gotta admit its a badass little truck..

Andy.

Your 'toy' beater/winter car/hauler is nicer than anything I own period.

From what my friends with 4-Runners and Tacomas have said and experienced, just change the oil and you'll get like 950,000 miles out of her.

Enjoy!

BTW, you still got the literbike?

Nice find man, thats exactly what i wanted before i got my jeep. The only problem was that those yodas hold their value so well i couldn't afford anything newer than like a 93. throw some cragar soft 8's on that thing and itll look sick.

wow that much huh? I dont think we are getting hit here Im about 45 mins north or Portland and from what they are saying its only going to be southern maine, which to me means not much past portland north since portland is an hr north into the state. Weather is coming up next so I'll know for sure then.

Nice find!

When you go to put a sub in, check out this company:
www.pickupspecialties.com

I put a sub box underneath the seat of my extended cab in the back. They will make any box with any carpet you want and their customer service is excellent. I actually sent in CAD drawings and they built it for me.

Had to get some wheels...the stockers had to go...We'll be using them for Winter duty.. .. This is money I had stashed for new wheels for the stang...
Oh well.. I can see this truck turning into another money pit...

American Racing Baja's & BFG's... Dropped into the local Town Fair tire and they set me right up...
I looked at the Cragar soft 8s but they really don't fit the Tacomas without caliper and spacer BS..

Andy, nice choice.

I saw your wheel ad some days ago. What's going on the Stang? If I had the cheddar, I'd scoop your rims up.

As an aside, ain't it nice to go get wheels and having a truck bed to just toss them into. Ha. Otherwise in a stang it takes 2-4 trips to get wheels/tires home.

Ya they do look sweet...To bad their coming off... they stick out like 3" and the only flares that'll go that amount require the fender to be cut... screw that... I'll get busted for sure the way it sits... Last thing I need is a BS reason to get stopped by Johnny Law...they get off on that stuff around here, I can't pass inspection as it sits either... Plus I requested clear coated and these are polished...found that out today after a rain storm yesterday left stains all over em... Mothers was tuff to clean em up. Town Fair is doing an even swap for whatever I like...
Have to go back Monday to choose another rim....K.eeping the BFG'S though

Ya I'm selling my ROH's for something different...Been 4 years and I want some Saleens... Will do a straight swap or buy new...I want Hyper Silver.
I'll give you a smokin deal on em..

desertcox05... ya these things do run forever...This is my first xcab..It is nice to have the xtra room.
