My best E.T was a 13.78@104mph. Traction was a major problem since I had street tires and discovered my trac-loc was shot.(only one wheel spinning)

I had to ease it off the line and then hit it after the 60' mark to break the 13's
I was running 14.1 and 14.2's until a got better leaving the line

Here is what my best time slip looked like:

R/T......... .170
60'........2.323
330'......6.056
660'......9.048
mph......82.31
1000'....11.629
1/4........13.798
mph.......103.92

I KNOW it has 12 second potential but not without proper suspension and slicks.
I should have more MPH though......what will help that?

Here is my setup:
'82 GT 351W (.060)Comp Cams 274* Extreme Energy cam, ported & polished heads w/ 1.94/1.60 valves 10:1 forged flat top pistons, Edelbrock performer intake,Carter 625cfm carb, BBK shorties,Flowmaster exhaust,C-4 with 2500 stall converter, B&M pro shifter,3:73 gears, taurus electric fan

dude, i thought you were gonna call me when you were going. anyway, ya gonna go friday?
you have the mph for 12s, but your 60' is murdering you. get yourself some nice sticky tires for friday and you should be good. in my personal opinion, you should have long tubes, a x pipe and an RPM intake. the carter carb is also rated very low in the carb rankings. a nice 650 or 670 might really wake that carb up with that cam and the ported heads.

Actually if you 60ft a lot better your mph is most likey going to drop, you are seeing a higher mph because of tire spin.

Your 330 and 1/8mph tells how much power the car makes....

If the car is around 3200pounds you are putting just about 300HP to the crank, about 240 to the wheels. Now I used your 1/4 mile time to predict hp and come out with 240.2HP so I would say I am pretty close.

just by getting more seat time at the track you'll see better times. mph may go up too. mine seems to when i run the slicks.

do you guys go to numidea? i'm wondering how it is because that's a track that i've never been to before.

from PA

I see u guys are from PA.
What track do u go to?
I would like to meet a few stangnet members in person.
I was @ Maple Grove last friday but it was packed and every other car broke. Only had a chance to get 2 runs in.

The track closest to N8MILLER and myself is Numidia. Maplegrove is too far for me without a trailor(2 hrs.)
Drop me an email at: [email protected] if you can make it to our neck of the woods.

Nate, I could have sworn I told you about me going to Beaver Springs with that other guy from Sunbury. I swear I asked you if you wanted to go but I never got a reply. It was test & tune session.
I'm going to drop you an email next.
