i just came back from englishtown and i have a new personal best with the 4.10's and the bfg dr's. my previous best was 13.66 at like 101.98. my new best is 13.639 at 101.21. i know its not a big improvement, but i am just learning how to drive with the new gears and the dr's. i am not doing the best burnout but that will change after this weekend when i install my hurst line lock. hopefully i can shave a couple more tenths by the summer.

i only got 2 passes in because the stupid ricers kept breaking down and screwing up the track and my car usually gets faster as i get more runs in. i definately think 13.4's are capable with my current set-up. once i get the line lock in this week i will be back to test it out.

i go 13.0s-13.1s with high 1.7 60's, my mods are only xpipe, welded in mufflers, chip, 4.10s, and pullies. This is on Mccreary's, 17" bfgs should be capable of the same 60's.

you have plenum/tb/maf/velocity tube over me, if those mods actually do anything you should be running the same times with more mph

this was only my first and second run with the 4.10's and the bfg's. i am just gettin used to them. also these are 2 different tracks. maybe the track your running at is faster thean englishtown nj. just a thought

I totally understand there is a learning curve, my friend Tim has the same mods as you but runs on 26x10.5 et streets and his second trip to the track with that setup , he only ran 13.3 103. Now put me in his car and that B**ch would go 12's.

Just have fun and learn how to launch harder, you should be pulling 1.8s with bfgs on 17's. Drop the tire pressure down to 15-16psi and do a nice 10 second 2nd gear smoky burnout. Wet them in the water box, launch about 4500 with the slighest slip to a dump and you should be fine.

thanks for the advice and acknowledging that it takes time to get used to new mods, especially gears

lol. you dont need a line lock to do a good burnout. dump the clutch and put the clutch foot on the brake while flooring it. make sure it is a long burnout too, until you see lots of white smoke. nittos need heat.

ps. shift lower into second.
