I finally got my new trans in. Its a Art Carr AOD w/man VB and 2600 converter. WOW !! what a ride. This and the gears really made a huge difference. This thing now a blast to drive.

Cool, I went with a trans shop here in Vegas and they set me up with an AOD with a man/vb and a 2600 stall too. The guy that built it and owns the shop use to work for Art Car in r&d. I should be getting mine back in a couple of days. Hopefully I wont regret not just going to a T5. Glad to hear you enjoy the setup. How is it to drive on the street, with the man/ vb.
Its actually quite fun, Whats neet is there is no compression braking so if you happen to gear down to far it wont catch until you reach enough rpm. The only thing on this that is kind of a pain but is on all manual vb is the electric od. You have to filp the stwich on for od but Im sure I'll get used to it. The convertor is great only about 150 rpm over lockup at 70 mph. My last car was stick and this is a whole bunch better I think youll like yours
Sounds awsome! I have a stock aod with a PI 2800 stall, atrans-go shift kit and 3.73 gears,ILL tell you what, this thing will launch just as good if not better then a 5-speed!

I've heard good things about the BFG comp T/A DR's. A guy here is running them on 480hp and hooking up well. Just curious what you guys have ran at the track.
