Hi all, Its been a while, My ihi finaly bit the dust, and that gave me the kick in the but to finaly go with a t3. But the t3 i have is alitle different than most Ive seen. Instead of a round outlet that the inercooler clamps on to it has a flat peace with two bolt holes. Im looking for the part that bolts on does any one know where i can get one. Im going to use my factory inercooler for a while longer so I need this peace.
thanks for your help. Here is a picture of what im talking about, also a pic of the tore up ihi. I can pull the shaft out about half an inch. I cant belive this thing was still making 10 to 12psi when I pulled it.

ya you can get the 2 bolt flange off a t-3 TC from the JY kinda hard to find..i could have swore i have seen them on some t-3 volvos. http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/m...OD&Product_Code=ATP-FLS-046&Category_Code=FLG and the best thing about that flange is it is tapped for a boost guage.

The thing that bolts to that flange goes nearly all the way to the throttle body...you can't use it with the IC unless you cut it up. You can cut the "ears" off of the flange though and file it round, then clamp onto it though...

All the non-intercooled Merkurs and Turbo Coupes, and turbo EFI Mustang GTs had this style. They are actually much more common than the round outlet Ford T3s because only the Mustang SVOs had the intercooler and a T3. The intercooled Turbo Coupes, as you know, came with an IHI.

You can get the outlet tube like mine has and cut it so you can slip a tube and clamp on there or modify the compressor housing itself. SVO T3s seem to be under high demand and small supply so they aren't cheap. I know, I've been looking for a spare.

I bought a non intercooled turbo coupe motor in a junk mustang that didn't have a hood. I put a turbo coupe intercooler, clocked the turbo. I made one with a flat piece of metal hole in it and piece of steel pipe. kentucky engineering but worked. Motor now in wife's mustang nonintercooled hopefully not for long.
