Was wondering if anyone here had any experince with either the leather or the vinyl upholstery kits. Is the Vinyl going to hold up? Is the leather worth it? Would like the experince of doing it myself but also want it to last.

first off ... dude, that sig is WAY TOO BIG
second, my understanding with our seats is that the upholstery is actually glues to the foam, which makes getting it off really difficult.

i am in the process of re-doing the seats on my fairlane, and it is not very hard, but (for me at least) it is time consuming. i would ask the LRS folks about getting the current covers off ... that would be the deciding factor for me.

For those prices I would try to find some 03/04 cobra seats.

here is my two cents. i have the two tone blk/tan interior with leather. with 230,000 mile on her the stock drivers seat looked like _ _ _t! so i too thought about recovering and found you could buy some very nice aftermarket seats for less than a leather kit. I actualy bought a pair of seat from JC Whitney that are marketed by a JEEP accesories company named rugged ridge. other places like summit racing and ebay have them too JC just was the best price at the time. I am very happy with quality and comfort. here is the link.

there are no length regulations, but when the sig takes up almost the whole height of the screen, something has to give ...

any news on getting the old covers off? i have found that recovering the seats in my fairlane has been theraputic

Leather or vinyl seats = sweaty ass especially on a hot day
Black leather or vinyl seats = 3rd degree burns to sweaty ass on a hot day

So I changed mine to custom trimmed Jeep Cherokee cloth bucket seats 'cause where I live it gets up to 120*F in mid-summer. They're super comfortable on long drives.
