I just installed some new valve covers and i took off the upper intake and what i "though" was right is wrong. I placed a hose somwhere different and i cant track it down. The car is Idleing BAD and when i hit the gas hard it take it a while like someone is taking a big breath then blowing out. Even somtimes it will die out. Im almost positive that its one that goes in the back or under . There is a red line and 3 black ones. One goes to the map sensor. Any suggestion would be great, thanx guys!

Obviously something isn't hooked up right but we can't see it from here. Do you have a buddy that you can compare yours to to see what's wrong or can you tell us which ones you've hooked up from where to where?

Black Hoses = MAP Sensor, EGR System, Vacuum Tree on fire wall (S), PVC Valve.

Red Line/ Hose = Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I have a diagram of where they are suppost to go but it doesnt show the back side of the Intake. My buddy has a 5.0 i took it to him he checked it and said it was all ok, he questioned if the gasket is broke . Could this be the problem?

Did you use the old intake gasket, or install a new gasket?

I wouldn’t think if you used a new gasket that you'd have a vacuum leak unless there was already a tear or wrinkle on the gasket.

Did you clean both the bottom of the upper intake and the top of the lower really well before you installed the new gasket?

Have you double checked to make sure all the intake bolts are tight?

Have you checked to make sure that when hooking up the old plastic lines that you didn't cracked one of the lines causing a vacuum leak?
