I am the proud owner of a 1999 Performance Red GT which I have had for 3 yrs. now. I have decided that it is finally time to get a new set of wheels. While I have made up my mind that I definitely want the FR500 style wheels, I can not make up my mind about whether to get Anthracite or Hypercoat finish.

I would love to hear input from other readers, and if anyone has pictures of red stangs with either of these choices it would be extremely helpful to see them!!

Silver wheels look great on red mustangs.

Hypercoated just looks like chit IMO

I don't like black wheels, but black FR500's also look pretty cool on red Mustangs. The chrome lip helps though

AM is where I'm gonna by them but red car pics are actually kinda sparse. Black saleens actually would look reallly nice but I just don't want black wheels. From the pics posted above I really like the silver hypercoated.

Thanks everyone for your input! Keep the pics coming!

Are you sure your car is Performance Red? What is the paint code? If it is E8 then it is Rio Red like mine, but if yours is a true 35th Anniversary car then it is Performance Red...

BTW go with a silver rim. I have the gunmetal 10th anniversarys and silver or black is definitely my next choice when I decide to change things up!

Yeah it's a real limited and is perf red. The more I look at the hypercoated rims the more I like them.. I'm def liking the brighter silver apearance of them rather than the darker anthracite..

If black with a polished lip were a choice, I'd pick that. Anthracite is the next best thing, especially on metallic red cars. It doesn't look nearly as good on Performance Red or Rio Red.

Given that picture posted by N8Dogg, I'd say go with hypercoated. That looks awesome.

I love silver wheels on a red car. Looks sick.

I'm with you Gearbanger 101....I loved the all black look of mine at first, but since doing it, now there are about 5 other black mustangs running around in the same area as me that are blacked out. Time to change it up

Low in the front? Pretty undriveable in the rear as well.

Kinda torn...why I didn't vote. The silver does go well with the interior, but the other almost matches the the painted insert color on the original wheels. So, I can't decide.
FR500 was the way to go however.....go with the one easiest to clean.
