Looks alot better imo, im just trying to get used to it since Im used to seeing my car with the baskets...it handles waaaaay better on these tires...the pilot sports are light years ahead of my old tires, not to mention the stiffer/smaller sidewall now....all i got left is to finally get an alignment

The difference is a stiff sidewall on a quality tire, verse a bigger and softer sidewall on a not so great tire...so yes it does handle better...its not my imagination. Its not like these rims "scream" cobra...there are no cobra logos...its just a silver 5 spoke wheel, quazi-reminiscent of a magnesium in a way...kind of what drew me to them in the first place

I know some like the stock wheels better, and some people hate them...i only bought the cobras so I could put my saleen wheels up so they dont get ruined...the front passenger is already bent, so I have to send it off to get fixed. My initial plan was to road race on the saleen wheels, but I like the idea of a set of brembos on the car.

This car isnt a trailor queen or a garage queen, its driven every single day in whatever weather comes its way...worrying about replacing an ugly, 16inch 20 yr old rim is something I dont prefer to worry about considering it'll set me back a few hundred bucks minimum. One is already bent and it shakes bad once I hit 50mph...and I also can't afford to wait on a far off rim shop repairing them and mailing them back while I don't have another means of transportation.

Some hate it, some love it...im just glad that if i curb or ruin a wheel...in the end it doesnt matter anymore...i think a clean 5 spoke looks better on a mustang then a set of baskets...so all in all I'm happy...and im the one who has to stare at it everyday lol. And in all honesty...the car doenst look nearly as good in the pics as it does in person...so I expected the reaction to not be completely favorable to even the ones who do like a similar wheel on a fox

i dont spend any time on the 5.0 talk...i've never ever seen these wheels on a fox except on the 1 rusted out saleen bart posted...i thought they looked like mini-magnesiums so I would go that route..had no idea they were used that much. I would of pegged the R's for the most used of the 94+ wheels

Newho...i know the ARE's are stupid light, its why im dreading a spindle swap b/c i want to road race and do shows on those wheels. There is a guy here who swears he can fix them..but i've never had luck with local people...i'll probably take them down to jacksonville where my dad lives and search for someone there since they have a ton of wheel places there along with manufacturers like Enkei. Im not in a big rush to get em fixed since I dont plan to road race until next year (this year is aimed at setting up the car suspension/brake wise)...so i keep going back and forth on the spindle crap.

Mark at PAS told me the fox 12inch baer kit will fit behind the saleen wheels, however its just a cobra kit...so im wondering if I cant fab up a bracket, use their rotors, and buy some calipers from ford, and some MM fox to cobra SS brake lines. There is no way that kit can be worth the $1000 baer wants, where you can get a cobra brake kit for $450 new. If anyone has any insight on that...i'd love to hear it
