Hello all , I am new to the board , and didn't really know where to put this, just looking for some info/help .

I have always been into 5.0 SN95 body mustangs, and finally decided to build my own, since I can't find any relatively nice 5.0 SN95's around my area (i've looked EVERYWHERE :rlaugh: ) , anyway, I am about to start building a 1994 5.0 I am getting for $550 from a used autoparts place early next month ( it has 50,000 miles on it, car was hit from the back, having it rebuilt, more likely than not instaling a B303 or E303 cam, P&P heads, injectors yada yada ) and have already bought a 1997 SN95 V6 Mustang to transplant the motor into for $2500 .

My question(s) :

1) Will I have to change the motor mounts ? I have done some research, and they say nothing about it, so i'm assuming I won't ?!?!

2) Will the 7.5 rear hold up to get me to the exhaust shop and back ( normal driving, not "getting on it" ) I will eventually build an 8.8 from a 5.0 or 4.6 , w/ some 3.73 gears and stronger axles to finish the project.

3) I'll probably be getting a new computer from Ford, with the wiring harness for the 5.0 unless I can find one on Ebay, already have a T5 tranny from a 97 GT (installed with RAMM clutch ) , is there anything else 'll need ?

Thanks in advance :hail2:

Thanks for the welcome you all :) :banana:

Fuel system will be new w/ a fuel cell ala' cobra R (using my neighbors as a reference) , and the Fuel injection is coming with the motor , also the motor is going to be modded before I drop it in , and im going to build my custom suspension . Thanks for the help guys , look forward to a long membership with Stangnet :)

Now , off to hunt for motor mounts !!!!

THANKS AGAIN !!!

The swap isnt a big deal really. He said fuel system up there, you can use the stock pump, GT and V6 are the same 88LPH... you just need the hoses that go from the fuel rails over to inner fender. Everything on the car works. The 7.5 will be okay for a while as long as you dont plan on any major hell raising. If you have any questions or need any help dont hesitate to ask. My car was a v6 and i did the swap. Its been about 4 years but i can halfway remember about it. Haha :D

OH yeah, and what was that about the suspension? Whats the difference in them? I know the v6 sway bar is smaller, and theres no strut tower brace... Are the springs/struts and shocks the same? I just wonder. All my stuff is stock v6 stuff still. 1.70 '60 though

the shocks an struts in a 6 banger arnt meant to hold the heavier 302, and by fuel system i didnt mean fuel pump, i meant injectors an all that stuff.

shocks and struts on the 6banger in 94-95 where the same as the GT's FYI... 96 and up i'm not sure on... I do know this much that if your using a 97 Mustang V6 you will need a 94-95 K-member or Aftermarket Tublar... I've done this swap.... just takes time...

Wow , thanks alot you guys, I got my neighbor to check the tranny today, you were right T45 , so much for impulse shopping , thanks for the advice on parts too, and where to get them, ill definately be using those suggestions. And looking for a true T5 :lol:

The whole reason I decided to buy the car and everything, is because I plan on starting a business, and wanted a car to take to the track (when its 100% done) and get some free advertisement well, sorta free :lol:. I'll also try to get some pics online of the car how it sits now , and when I gather all the parts needed, more pics of the installs and such. I just hope you guys will like the car when its done, low and fast :) with a little something under the hood for teh unsuspecting :)

Thank you guys again, and again, and again , I am really appreciating your help .

Welcome Aboard!

if your doing a strictly track car you could build up a mean 351 instead of just a 302, and since you already have to replace motormounts and everything else it may be worth it for the extra power
