Its a 1968 mustang ( 8 )
Manufactured in Dearborn ( F )
It is a 2 door convertible ( 03 )
With a v8/289 / 2 barrel carb ( C )

Must be an early 68 with no side marker light in the rear quarter added yet, the 289 hints to an early model too

The 289 makes sense in an early '68, but I've never seen a '68 without the side markers.

Back then Ford, and I'm sure others did too, used up the parts in the factory inventory coupled with late updates, ie: I found one 289 head and one 302 head one an original equipped 289 ci 68 mustang convertible.

Could be that a Mustang shipped and sold in Europe would not have had the same requirements on side marker lights for 1968.
In the USA for certain.

That could be, because the NHTSA requirements would not have to apply to vehicles designated for export.

Good point, with rusted out rocker panels, the convertibles can actually break in half.

Needs new floorboards and new trunkfloor.
I hoop the rockers are oke.
