Sorry, but I hunted around for a thread or FAQ that would answer these basics, and came up empty, so I'm hoping somebody can quickly offer up the info that I need. Basic stuff:
My pops has a 2005 GT 5-sp MT. Rarely drives it, but anyhow, his only complaint is soggy and weak low-end-torque and throttle response. I told him it was probably just lame drive-by-wire mapping from the factory, and that a basic performance chip would totally change the car's sluggish personality.
1. I'm right, right?
2. I want to buy him a performance card/chip/prom/whatever for X-mas
3. What product seems to be the overall preferred product on this forum?
4. Where should I go to buy it?
5. Is the access and installation a breeze, as they usually are? (Last one of these I've installed was on my '00 Lightning, I've go zero idea if the box and the process is different for these new Mustangs.
