Hello my names Chris, I'm 16 so I'm pretty new at 80% of things to do with cars. I was just curious as to if this car is worth the work and money. It's a 1999 mustang gt coupe with a 5 speed manual transmission. The windshield is cracked, some interior parts are not working or missing. The turn signals don't work and it looks as if someone tried to rewire something or take something apart. The back seats need replaced, the rear view mirror was taken off. However the car started right up and sounds great.

Some tough love time.

The picture is NOT a 1999 GT. The youngest it could be is 1998.

For any of us out here in Internet land to answer your question we need some more information. For example, how much for the base car? If the base car is 7k, then it's not a good deal. Where as at the right $$ level, it may be.

BUT in my opinion, the biggest question should be if you are going to do the work yourself or pay someone else to do it. IMO if you are going to pay someone else to do the work, then buy a better car.

Not a 99. Burns is spot on. Although, great car to learn on, 2 grand or beware.

Like the others said, definitely not a 99 and it would be a nice car to start learning on if you plan on do the work yourself. Just as trombonedemon said, I'd look to spend maybe 2k for it AT MOST. What's your budget?

Imho, unless it's a screamin deal with fairly low miles and it's $1500, I would pass on it, otherwise it may be more trouble than it's worth. You can see how badly it must have been taken care of by looking at the interior and exterior so you can imagine the care that went into the rest of the car, or rather, the lack of it.

May have been wrecked as well judging from the fact one fender has a GT emblem and the other a pony.
