Once I get my car running(by the 1st of the year) I was wondering mods to do next. I will have about $500 to spend. Ill already have an exhaust and a K&N. Maybe an intake?? Or some suspension/chassis stiffening. 95 mustang GTS 5 speed.
Thanks in advanced

Subframe connectors and lower control arms would be some good suspension mods. Then i would get some good drag radials and some gears. That should be close to $500 and it would seriously be like a whole new car.

depends what the goal of the car is?? Maybe since you have exhaust you should get some headers or a midpipe if you don't have one already. Gears and subframe connectors should be next.

Any future/long term plans for the car? LCAs and SFCs are always a good first mod. Depending on what you want to do with the drivetrain, gears are a $500 mod and you'll definately enjoy them.

Im looking for a good street car, that will be at the track every once in a while. Eventually my goal will be 13's but that is still a ways away.

explain your set-up, when you say exhaust what all do you have? also, if you havent already, introduce your self, expecially include pictures. I agree SFC's and LCA's would be good, so would an intake, but gears would give you the most for $500

Hi,
Gears were probably the best bang for the buck. Seat of the pants push.
Subframe connectors would be next

Shop around you might get both for that money, although a shop will probably charge you close to $500 for gears. 4.10 for a auto and 3.73 for a stick.

Well first thing I would do is get gears. Depends on how much you drive but I would say 4.10s. That will set you back about $400-$450 (gears and install). Then I would make a Home Depot cold air intake. There have been a few write ups on it. It will save you a lot of money. Then I would just save for H/C/I. See how you like those mods right there and then figure out the goal of the car and work from there. The hottest combo out right now is Ebock/AFR/FTI. Of course that is more $$$$. A cheap combo would be Cobra/GT-40/off the shelf cam. Just sit down and figure out how much you want to spend down the road and what parts you will need. Nothing worst than buy the same parts twice.
