You clowns watching this weekend? Who's your pick, East or West?

I'll be trekking up to Montreal w/a friend for the full weekend (morning practice, skills, game, and all the other festivities throughout). I know there are lots of hockey fans and Canadians here, figured if anyone else was gonna be showing up (the festivities are cheap/free, FWIW) we could put down a beer together or somethin.

Hockeytown huh...My girl lives there. We were at Games 1 & 5 last year. Game 5 was great for me, as a Pens fan. Would have loved to have gotten to #7 no matter which way it went, but alas...

Hopefully the Wings can make it back to Finals this year. Might be tough getting by the Sharks though, they're looking awfully strong.

I like Kovalev and everything, always have, but I'm surprised that he's the captain. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the breakaway challenge though, he's got some ridiculous moves.

Well, it looks like the only Red Wing there will be the coach... That's okay though, perhaps they need a real all-star game instead of this PC elementary school one person from each team crap...

What a great time. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Saw them practice in the morning, the East won, Chara's record-breaking shot, Ovechkin being a clown (even moreso than was shown on TV), Malkin winning for accuracy, meeting Malkin and Crosby, Ovechkin and a bunch others at the red carpet ceremony, kissing the Stanley Cup, and on and on. I'm so glad I went!

I hope you managed to do a lot of eating before and after the game. The food in Montreal is absolutely fabulous!

Unfortunately all we had to eat was fast food stuff. We had planned on hitting up a nice restaurant in between Saturday morning practice & the Skills Comp. at night, but we ended up hanging out for the red carpet ceremony all afternoon once we learned it was going on. Not much food Saturday, haha. Sunday was a little better but still all fast food junk. Ah well.

Thought you Wings fans might dig this, signed by Babcock on the Wings logo side, and by Evgeni Malkin & Sidney Crosby on the Cup logo side. I got this puck last year at the Stanley Cup Finals so having them all sign it was really cool to me:
