Nice looking motor

wow. Screw that. I wish i could throw on a pair of STOCK tricflow out of the box heads, paint the block and sell it for $3400. "These are trickflow heads with AFTERMARKET springs." woohooo. "up to 420hp depending on intake and headers." Are they seroius? Unless these are some fully worked TFS-R heads, its not gonna make 450whp. And on top of that its a STOCK block!!! Its only been bored and decked and it comes with STOCK pistons and STOCK crank, with such accessories as a double roller timing chain yay. And look at the compression!! 9.5:1 on a stock block and its gonna make 450whp? There's some 347's with Dart blocks and 11.1:1 compression that have a hard time making numbers like that.

IF the motor did make that kind of power, id want to know what they're doing. Personally i'd rather buy from a reputable company rather than some ebay add that throws together a pretty little paint scheme on a stock block with some aftermarket heads and trys to pass it off as a monster motor.

I believe that's 420HP at the crank, not 450rwhp. I would say 420HP is possible with the right cam/intake/etc. on that engine. The price does seem pretty high for what your getting tho, so I would pass on that one.

Free shipping - Please.:rlaugh: Shipping is in the price of the motor. Find out if the Hp numbers are with or without the accessories (i.e. pullies, AC etc.).

Some of you may recall when MM&FF ran a test of cylinder heads (about a year or so ago) and they made just under 400hp with the AFR heads, mild cam and carb. on a 302 motor. The Hp numbers were based on no front accessories though. So I guess it is possible to make the 420hp numbers with a stronger cam and carb. Peace

 yeah. these guys are supposedly located in my backyard(i live in ri, shops are very rare) and i've never heard a word about them. not a single person i know has heard of them at all. i don't know, 420hp, maybe to the crank, for that price tho, you could make pretty much your own spec motor.

Buy the Ford Motorsport shortblock ( FMS-M-6009-B50- 1300~ish), the TFS Engine kit ( TFS-K514-350-370- 2199.00) and you'll get all that PLUS the intake, valvecovers, gaskets, etc. They more realistically claim 350hp/370tq for this setup. Plus you'll have some take-off parts from the shortblock you can sell....
AND ALL these are NEW parts..

Shops are rare???
I don't think so.
Go see Eric LaFerriere in Johnston--he built the January MM&FF cover car for January. Great work & fair prices. He'll build you a motor.
Carl at East Coast speed is also good.

"We ship these with the correct sheet metal on them so the installation is a breeze"

what the is that supposed to mean? since when do you need sheet metal for an install to be a breeze?

Yes, Mainly the oil pan and oil P/U tube. Its unique to the 5.0 Fox/SN cars due to the rack and K-Member. Truck uses a rear sump I believe and the larger cars too.

420 :crapola: That would be 336 with a 20% drivetrain/accessory loss.

You would maybe see 300 rwhp with this motor depending on cam (there are optional choices in the description)..., headers intake and so on. No better than a Ford crate motor...and they are 100% new with a nice warranty...it has a turned production crank, hyper pistons and is a stock block.:crapola:
